About Kaleidoscope Minds
Dr. Brianne Jonathan is an educator, consultant, and advocate with over 15 years of experience in special education, behavior analysis, and higher education leadership. She earned her Doctorate of Education from Aurora University, holds a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and is a certified Learning and Behavior Specialist. As a former special education teacher and Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Brianne brings deep expertise in social pragmatics and executive functioning to her work with individuals, families, schools, businesses, and community partners.
Brianne operates from a strengths-based vantage point and the social model of disability, inviting clients to examine how societal and systemic structures can enable disability and drive maladaptive behaviors. Through Kaleidoscope Minds, she helps clients discover the enriching power of differences and continually reflect on their lived experiences and the systems they move through in order to foster meaningful change and growth.
She has designed programs that nurture social pragmatics and executive functioning in more than 15 K–12 schools and a Chicagoland university, with a special focus on key educational and life transitions—such as the move from high school to college—that place extra demands on executive functioning and social skills. Brianne has taught, and continues to teach, undergraduate and graduate courses in Education, Special Education, Neurodiversity Studies, Autism Studies, and Disability Studies at the university level. Across all of her work, Brianne is dedicated to building environments where neurodiversity is recognized and celebrated as a vital strength.

“Education, to me, is not about forcing people to fit into the world as it is, but about inviting them to question it so new ways of understanding, living, and learning can emerge.”
